This is a picture that recalls those times on what were usually late, cold winter nights that I've either witnessed dad helping a heifer calve or I've played the part of a bovine midwife myself. It was always relieving and satisfying to see that little, wet miracle of hungry, wobbly legged calf laying there in good shape, in part due to my helping hands.
